Airswift is seeking for a Mechanical Technician to work with our client based in Qatar.

JOB PURPOSE:

Perform general maintenance and repair (hands on) on all Mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner and maximize productivity through the effective use of all available resources.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards set by the company policies and procedures and contribute to this effort by ensuring that fellow workers and others have the same approach.
  • Monitor all activities in area of responsibility and support weekly planning major shutdown activities with Mechanical lead.
  • Assist Mechanical lead for planning and scheduling of works when required.
  • Utilize company Permit to Work system while carrying out any job on remote jackets.
  • Direct hands-on participation in executing day-to-day CM/PM, breakdown, and shutdown jobs.
  • Work with WHM Maintenance team (Electrical, Instrument) & Operations to improve knowledge and skill.
  • Participate in accident / incident investigation and report all incidents / near misses to supervisor / HES advisor.
  • Responsible to update all PM and CM work order in SAP system after completing maintenance activities.
  • Participate in SOC and Audit programs and participate in Hadaf zero program to achieve zero reportable incidents and spills.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • This position requires a minimum educational background of two years of studies on technical in Instrumentation for industrial applications certificates, and or diploma granted by an officially recognized educational institution in the relevant country.
  • Minimum of Five years relevant hands-on experience in the oil and gas Industry, preferably with intervention in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment utilized in offshore installations, leak testing and maintenance of X-Mas trees, maintenance of chemical injection pumps and high-pressure pumps, pig launcher systems.
  • Good knowledge in interpretation of P&ID and mechanical / piping drawings.
  • Good spoken & written communication skills and capability to maintain good interpersonal relations with the ability to work with a multi-national workforce.
