We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Operator II (Night shift) for a 1-year contract in Kermit, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading oil and gas company and make a significant impact on production.
Role Overview
- Monitor and improve production at well sites via provided vehicle
- Act as a Safety Leader and adhere to company's commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Perform inspections and maintenance on gas and oil wells, tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and attached piping components
- Operate and troubleshoot rental compressors, flowing gas wells, gas lift wells, testing wells, and sand traps
- Maintain chemical injection rates and perform start up and shut in procedures for wells
- Enter production data into computer databases and review outputs for accuracy
- Execute facility walk-throughs, manage changes (MOCs), and conduct pre-startup safety reviews (PSSRs)
- Complete regulatory work including agency testing requirements, change of status, and tank & meter numbering for new facilities
- Update piping & instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and site security diagrams for all new wells and facilities
- Respond to alarms after hours or when on call
- Implement all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures outlined in the company's Management System
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical equipment use, maintenance, repair, and inspection
- Ability to work in temperature extremes and adverse weather conditions
- Willingness to work in multiple geographic locations throughout a single workday
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to climb heights up to 24 feet and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience with oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology
