Our client, a midstream company, is seeking a Project Engineer to work a 1-year contract in Calgary, AB.

RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES

Accountable for project delivery to meet needs and opportunities generated by Business Development including scope and design development, option evaluation, pre-FEED, FEED, and execution (detailed design and construction) as per Stage-Gate Project Delivery process.

Ability to plan, organize, execute, control, and use processes, procedures, and best practices to deliver the highest value projects.

Ensure adequate focus on Front End Loading and early engagement of project contributors and stakeholders.
Manage external service providers such as Engineering, Procurement and Construction to develop project deliverables and deliver the project.
Ability to align, motivate, and inspire the team to act in harmony and to engage and collaborate with functional stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate needs to be well-organized, energetic, and service-oriented with the following qualifications:

Engineering degree from an accredited university and registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta.
Minimum 10 years of project engineering &/or project management experience:
Experience in successfully executing brownfield and/or greenfield projects.

business and financial acumen and an understanding of the value delivered by the Project.

Demonstrate visible, engaged, and influential leadership at the job sites (head office and field).
Demonstrated diligence and transparency in timely project reporting.
Monitor the project and act to correct deviations and changes as they arise.
Ability and willingness to travel to site as required by the project.
