Mission:

As a Project Engineer, you will collaborate on electrical infrastructure projects. Your role will be crucial in the Engineering department, where you will oversee the technical implementation of projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Collaboration: Work closely with Project Leaders and fellow Project Engineers, focusing on technical aspects.
Project Lifecycle: Engage in the entire project process, from feasibility studies to project closure, serving as the key link between the design team, technical experts, and Project Leader.
Technical Development: Contribute to the technical scope and design of projects, conducting various technical studies.
Quality Assurance: Guide the design team during the detailed study phase to ensure quality and adherence to scope.
Reporting: Communicate and report on project progress effectively.

Engineering Disciplines:

You will be part of the Project Engineering team with a focus on:

PE PAC: Protection and automation systems and control systems.
PE Lines: Overhead lines and tower connections between substations.
PE SUB: HV components within substations and utilities.
PE CW: Foundations and buildings.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with a focus on electrical engineering, automation, or energy.
Knowledge of electricity grids is a plus.
Big plus if candidate is proficient in Dutch, French, and English.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Analytical skills to solve complex technical issues.

Work Regime: Full Time
Location: Brussels
Remote Work: After the training period, 3 days of teleworking per week will be allowed.

One of the world’s largest independent commodities trading houses by turnover. Several major projects are being planned.

All projects are in the FEED phase and site preparations have started. He/she will participate in the project teams during the FEED, the detailed engineering, the construction, mechanical completion, the commissioning and start-up phase of the projects. He/she is responsibility for high quality electrical engineering deliverables, prepared by the engineering contractors during FEED and Detail Engineering and reviews key vendor documents. The sr. electrical engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the electrical designs, identifies & resolves non-compliances and works with others to resolve Electrical issues.

Position Description:       As a member of the Project team, he / she contributes to the maturing the projects and provide discipline expertise. The selected person will be responsible:

Review and approve project documents.
Assuring consistent application of standards and manages the control of any justifiable deviations.
Liaise effectively with other functions (Projects, Project Services, HSE, legal, Maintenance and Operations, e.g.).
Accountable for the quality of technical work and for the technical integrity, constructability, functionality, safe operation and reliability of designs.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in electrical projects for industrial installations, switchboards and electrical panels and their integration, mainly using AutoCAD Electrical.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing and executing the integrated electrical design of industrial installations and optimum integration with mechanical and pneumatic systems to avoid interference.
Draw electrical schematics, panel layouts, cable and pipe routing diagrams with AutoCAD Electrical.
Design and integrate electrical panels, incorporating analog and digital signals,

Experience in electrical projects for industrial installations, preferably with AutoCAD Electrical and experience in designing and integrating electrical panels.
Proven experience in designing electrical systems.
Familiarity with NFPA 70 and other applicable electrical standards.
Knowledge of other electrical design software, such as Revit MEP or EPLAN.
Experience in preparing electrical specifications, technical documentation and bills of material.
Knowledge of bills of materials (BOM).
Ability to review electrical projects and identify potential problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in English (B2 level or higher) is required for effective communication with international colleagues.
