Service Expectations:
Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Structural Lead, contributing your expertise to a collaborative team of engineers and experts.
Responsibilities:
Structural Steel Management: Manage a critical aspect of offshore substations, overseeing structural steel and layouting to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Primary Contact: Act as the key liaison for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contractor, facilitating seamless communication and project progress.
Detailed Engineering: Undertake detailed engineering tasks related to offshore substations, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
Corrosion Protection: Implement robust corrosion protection strategies to safeguard structural integrity and longevity.
Quality Control: Oversee quality control processes, including obtaining third-party approvals, to maintain the highest standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with other disciplines within the team, including Utilities, HV Equipment, Civil Works, and others, to integrate structural elements seamlessly.
Transportation & Installation (T&I): Contribute to planning and execution during the transportation and installation phases, ensuring structural integrity during these critical stages.
Skills Required:
Experience: You bring at least 4 years of relevant working experience, with a preference for experience in the offshore sector.
Offshore Structural Engineering: Experience in structural engineering of offshore platforms is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
Education: Hold an engineering degree, preferably in structural engineering.
Communication and Teamwork: Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for effective collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
Adaptability: Possess the ability to work in a team-oriented and structured environment, with a keen aptitude for quick learning and adaptation.
Technical Proficiency: Exhibit excellent MS Office skills, essential for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, with proficiency in Dutch and French considered advantageous for effective communication with stakeholders.
Working Hours & Workplace:
Full-Time Role: This is a full-time position, requiring commitment and dedication to project success.
Work Location: Based in Brussels, Belgium, with the possibility of up to 2 days of remote work per week for flexibility.
Residency: Preferably, the candidate will be a full-time resident in Belgium, ensuring accessibility and availability for project requirements.
Business Trips: Short business trips to contractors may be necessary, with more extensive travel anticipated during construction phases.

These SROs should also have experience with work control clearance tagging, which involves ensuring safety protocols when systems or equipment are taken offline or put back into operation.

Job summary:
Will assist in preparing and reviewing engineering and design drawings, change packages. calculations and overall technical evaluations.
Will provide onsite technical support and oversight for testing acceptance and simulation walkthroughs to ensure proper procedures.
Will Support the design and system upgrades from construction phase through the implementation phase.
Top skills needed:
Must have up to date LMS and Qual card with ENG-001 design qualifications
Must have a strong background in Electrical or I&C engineering
Must have an up-to-date Design Qualification from most recent nuclear company
Must hold a 50.59
Must be familiar with Disturbed Control Systems or Programmable Logic Control systems.
No degree is required if overall years of experience is met within the nuclear I&C field.
Main responsibilities include:
Supporting and leading field work of the Cyber Security/NERC PM efforts.
Leading Capex project efforts across major power plants and nuclear sites.
Ensure all projects are executed and within safety and environmental compliance.
Supporting site development, environmental developments and other capital improvement efforts.
Overseeing overall budget and scope from all major-small projects
Key Qualifications:
8+ years of experience as a PM overseeing capital projects
Extensive experience with various cyber security programs including: ICS, and Solar Phase Three cyber security upgrades.
Extensive experience with all power plant equipment (turbines, generators, pumps)
Experience with cradle to grave capital project life cycle, overseeing construction, electrical and power station renovations
Strong contract negotiation skills
OSHA certified
This is an on-site position, if you do not live within the project's location, relocation will be mandatory, there is also no per diem.
