About the Role
The existing Kwinana site is being re-purposed into an energy hub to support net zero aims. This transformation is expected to facilitate the future production of renewable fuels and hydrogen, while continuing the delivery of fossil fuels through the existing terminal facility.
The Project Management Officer aka the Terminal Transition Manager/Program Manager supports this strategy by leading the operatorship transition of the terminal facility from the existing facility operator to the new operator.
Position: Project Management Officer (Terminal Transition Manager/Program Manager)
Location: Kwinana
Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience in leading business change and transition, or operational readiness essential. Experience in refining, oil & gas or chemical operations desired.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the industry.
- Must have engagement skills with stakeholders.
- Must have experience in change management and project management.
- Provide Project Management Oversight to the Terminal Transition activity, ensuring bp operational readiness to undertake terminal operation, meeting regulatory and bp internal compliance requirements.
- Lead diverse, multiskilled worsktreams, support the establishment of transition objectives and milestones, support workstreams to remove barriers and ensure integration of activity sets and alignment between workstreams.
- Direct line management of the Terminal Change Management Lead, who will support the Terminal Transition Manager with assessment and implementation of changes to the business.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders, including internal bp teams, contracting partners and external parties and regulators as required, to ensure needs & constraints are understood and managed.
- Support site communication and change management for the transition, and support other bp site leaders to implement and lead their teams through the changes from the transition outcomes.
- Lead the management of change process to implement the transition outcomes.
• Safety and People Leadership - Demonstrated safety leadership, particularly as it relates to operation of hazardous facilities. Demonstrated ability to demonstrate care for people and support organisations through complex and challenging change
• Communication, EQ and Integration capability - Strong capability to communicate and interface with various and diverse team members, ensure team alignment on goals and objectives, and support teams to resolve issues with behaviours aligned with bp values.
• Highly motivated, well organised and able to engage with stakeholders with a constructive and effective approach.
• Project Management capability - sound understanding of project management principles and tools, to enable effective reporting and oversight.
