Overview

Airswift, in partnership with one of the largest global Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) companies, is recruiting for a Project Manager / Project Engineer to oversee small to medium-sized projects within the process industry. This role is essential for driving project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring compliance with project budgets and timelines. This is a temp-to-perm position with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based in Meerssen, Netherlands.

Position Summary

The PM/PE will manage the execution and oversight of project activities, leading teams to meet all project goals, and coordinating resources and stakeholder communication. Key functions include establishing the project framework, ensuring alignment across disciplines, and meeting all cost, quality, and schedule objectives. This role is central to fostering a culture of safety and operational efficiency while driving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership and Coordination: Manage end-to-end project execution, providing cross-discipline supervision, facilitating project meetings, and coordinating efforts to achieve engineering and design deliverables.
• Work Processes and Compliance: Implement effective work processes, monitor progress, manage Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, and ensure all work adheres to contractual requirements.
• Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage budgets, estimate project costs, and contribute to proposals while closely monitoring cost and budget controls.
• Project Execution Plan: Prepare and maintain a detailed Project Execution Plan, addressing project scope, budget, safety, quality, communication, and risk management.
• Data and Communication Management: Control information flow within the project and with external stakeholders, including contractors, sub-consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Change Management: Exercise change control to manage and gain approval for additional costs or time requirements as needed.
• Stakeholder Relations: Build strong client relationships and conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, address issues, and implement remedial actions.
• Sales Support: Support business development by contributing technical information for proposals and presentations.
• On-Site Supervision: Conduct periodic site visits to review progress, safety, and potential issues directly.

Qualifications

• Experience: Over 7 years managing small to medium-sized projects within an engineering environment, ideally in EPC or FEED settings.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint; experience working with remote teams.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
• Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license and willingness to be based within 100 km of Meerssen or relocate.
