Our client is a Water Treatment & Energy Recovery solutions company supporting offshore energy clients.  They are currently recruiting for Proposal Manager to join the Energy Recovery team in Oslo on a permanent basis (contract role also considered).

Key Responsibilities and background:

Responsible for overseeing and executing all tender activities related to energy recovery projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with tender requirements, optimizing our technical offerings, and managing the tender process from initiation to submission.

Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Management:
  • Lead and execute all phases of the tender process within Energy Recovery team.
  • Ensure that all tender requirements are understood, met, and accurately reflected in the proposals.
  • Organize and plan each tender submission to adhere to deadlines, ensuring timely and complete submission.
Technical Offerings Optimization:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize technical solutions and offerings in response to customer requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of technical documentation to ensure compliance with standards and customer expectations.
Cost Analysis:
  • Perform cost calculations and analysis to formulate competitive and viable pricing strategies.
  • Work closely with project management to assess project costs and forecast potential profitability.
Best Practices Development:
  • Develop and implement best practices for the tendering process to enhance efficiency, quality, and success rates.
  • Document lessons learned from each tender process and continuously refine methods and procedures.
Customer Interaction:
  • Participate actively in clarifications and negotiations with customers, representing company professionally and effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the tender process.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and legal, to gather necessary information and resources for proposal preparation.
  • Lead proposal meetings and ensure that all team members are aligned with objectives and timelines.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Master or Bachelor within engineering discipline. Relevant experience may compensate lack of formal qualification.
  • Strong relevant experience in Proposals / Tendering role within offshore energy / energy transition sector.
  • Good contractual, legal and commercial understanding
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Fluent in English language (written & oral)
