We are seeking a Rights and Environmental Management Advisor to join our team on a full-time contract basis in Arnhem, Netherlands.
 
Role Overview
  • Provide legal advice and support to the Rights & Environment Management department.
  • Advise on legal issues related to rights in rem, purchase agreements, and planning damage agreements.
  • Review and assess legal documents and processes related to transfers and establishment of rights in rem.
  • Stay updated on current legislation and case law to provide practical knowledge to colleagues.
  • Negotiate and communicate with stakeholders on the establishment of rights in rem and land purchases.
  • Escalate complex legal issues to Legal Affairs when necessary.
  • Contribute to policy development within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to property law, spatial planning, and (semi-)public legislation.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to implement changes.
  • Organize and manage workload efficiently and effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal advisor, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations related to private and public law, property law, spatial planning, and (semi-)public legislation.
  • Experience negotiating and communicating with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills to understand complex legal issues and find practical solutions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances or new legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
