ROV Supervisor – West Africa

Position: ROV Supervisor
Location: Offshore, West Africa
Rotation: 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off
Contract: 12 months
Start Date: Early February

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ROV Supervisor to lead offshore operations on a high-profile project in West Africa. This role involves overseeing ROV activities, ensuring safety and efficiency, and providing technical leadership to the team. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in Construction/IRM operations and proven expertise with Work Class ROV systems, particularly Schilling HD systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise ROV operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Manage and coordinate the team to execute tasks efficiently and safely.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Work Class ROV systems.
Ensure proper maintenance and inspection of ROV equipment.
Prepare reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Extensive offshore experience as an ROV Supervisor.
Proficiency in Construction/IRM operations.
Hands-on experience with Schilling HD ROV systems.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in offshore environments.

Strong understanding of industry trends and markets.
Proven track record of successfully managing procurement projects and delivering cost savings.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex market data and develop actionable insights.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite: including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (ability to create formulas and to analyze data)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.

Language proficiency in English. Portuguese is a plus.
Flexible to travel to client’s site as required

Job Responsibilities:

Provide leadership to the team members and ensure governance of all Continuous Improvement initiatives within the area of responsibility.
Drive initiatives and focus’ include (but are not limited to): Operations Standards across Health and Safety, 5S and Visual Management, Performance Management, Process Management, Business Continuity and Continuous Improvement.
Design and deliver effective training for LEAN tools and methods including 5S, A3 Problem Solving (PDCA/ DMAIC), Value Stream Mapping, and basic Lean introduction.
Serve as a subject matter expert and lead CI workshops on business processes (CL/ Warehousing), Inventory Slotting projects (ABC Analysis), A3 Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and 8D Problem Solving.
Manage all aspects of complex Continuous Improvement projects from identification of improvement areas, execution of problem solving, prioritizing solutions, testing, hand-over, tracking & reporting out benefits.

Requirements:

Degree Holder in Engineering Field- Industrial, Logistics, Automation etc
Minimum 10 years CI experience in logistics/3PL, with Lean expertise in warehouse/shop floor environment and digitalization knowledge.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience running complex Logistics Operations, 3PL and supply chain industry in a leadership capacity, including P&L accountability.
LEAN Six Sigma certification (minimally Green or Black Belt) and Project Management (PMP Certified).
Advance proficiency in LEAN methodologies and tools (e.g. 5S, A3, PDCA, Value Steam Mapping, Ishikawa Diagram, FMEA, Root cause analysis etc )
Willing to travel interstate &/or overseas on projects as required for agreed durations
