Are you ready to take on the role of Rubber Plantation Manager for a leading agricultural company in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea? As the manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the plantation and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
Role Overview
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to plantation operations.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the plantation and its assets.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the work program for all plantation employees.
- Determine staffing requirements and assist in recruitment and training of personnel.
- Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve overall performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of payroll for all plantation employees.
- Be accountable for all company assets located in different administrative centers and compounds.
- Achieve projected yield targets for various fields in the plantation.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of other managers.
- Implement efficient systems and processes, such as RRIMFLOW System and Stimulations, to maximize yield potential.
- Maintain profitability of the plantation through effective financial management.
- Assist with administration and accounts division, including supervision of personnel and work programs.
- Prepare monthly progress reports and attend board meetings as requested.
- Coordinate new planting and replanting programs as directed by the General Manager and Board of Directors.
- Maintain a peaceful work environment through good industrial relations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plantation or farm management.
- Strong understanding of rubber tree cultivation techniques, tree care, and sustainability practices.
- Leadership skills to manage teams and optimize workflow.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting and performance reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in English for coordination with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of IT systems and software for efficient management.
- Ability to work onsite at the plantation in Port Moresby.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plantation or farm management.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in agriculture or farm management preferred.
