Our client is seeking a Scheduler to work on a large project located in Orange, TX, for a 2-year assignment.

The professional will be responsible for providing the construction progress and status information. The information will be produced under the direction of the Project Controls Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Project Controls Manager and Project Directors
  • Interpret and analyse the schedule in P6
  • Develop reports using data visualization tools
  • Manage project progress reporting
  • Manage the construction progress and productivity
  • Oversee the engineering and procurement deliverable status to visualize the construction backlog and take and/or propose required countermeasures.
  • Summarize and develop the presentation/selective schedule of the key construction schedule, status, and target including the critical path for the management, client, and staff.
  • Analyze the construction status to find out the bottleneck issue and suggest countermeasures to management
  • Communicate with Construction Managers, Segment Managers and Engineering/Procurement Managers to develop the schedule, progress, productivity and status, etc.
  • Oversee and assist in all month-end project reporting requirements
  • Develop presentations for internal and external project controls-related meetings and participate and facilitate these meetings.
Required Skills:
  • Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Primavera P6
  • Navisworks Simulate to visualize construction schedule and status using 3D models.
  • Excel VBA to develop the visualized construction schedule and status.
  • Power BI to develop the live status.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EPC projects and typical drawings and detailed construction planning
  • Commitment to Accuracy and Reliability
  • Must be able to work alone and with others including clients, joint venture partners’ staff, and engineers.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction Science
  • 5+ years of chemical, petro-chemical or oil and gas construction experience
