Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a range of sustaining capital projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.

Key Details:

  • Location: Perth
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Reporting to: Civil Structural Department Manager

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering elements, including access roads, earthwork pads, and tank storage farms.
  • Manage interfaces with existing underground services.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow checking procedures.
  • Ensure clarity of project scope and adherence to change management processes.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Act as the civil engineering lead on a range of projects
  • Resolve discrepancies between project requirements and deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in civil engineering design within the mining, energy, and/or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proficiency in bulk earthworks design, drainage, and heavy pavement design.
  • Experience in calculation packages
  • Exposure to with software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and 12D is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong technical and practical engineering skills.
  • Knowledge of local and international standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in civil design in the Pilbara region is advantageous.
  • Experience from EPCM Environment ideal
