Position: Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Project: Woodside

Location: Perth

Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance engineering services that comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and optimize maintenance strategies for new equipment, ensuring alignment with performance standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance master data in line with client guidelines and current practices.
  • Identify and manage critical spares, ensuring optimal stock levels to improve asset reliability.
  • Audit and catalog project-specific materials in systems like SAP, MAXIMO, or JDE.
  • Develop and update maintenance work instructions and offer technical support to teams.
  • Lead efforts to monitor compliance with statutory requirements for major hazard facilities.
  • Conduct inspections of process piping, vessels, and equipment according to industry standards.
  • Review engineering specifications and propose modifications to improve plant reliability.
  • Identify and resolve issues, while developing innovative solutions and staying updated on technical advancements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing maintenance improvement projects across a diverse portfolio.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance engineering fundamentals and related disciplines.
  • Experience with FMECA, RCA, RCM, and familiarity with CMMS systems such as SAP, MAXIMO, or JDE.
  • Knowledge of local and international standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent customer focus and ability to manage changes in tasks and environments.
  • Ability to identify issues, make timely decisions, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Capable of working on multiple projects and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of Python or R (preferred but not essential) and experience in maintenance organizations.
  • Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, with postgraduate qualifications in management or project management preferred.
