The role 
We are seeking a Senior Expeditor to join our team in Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing all activities related to the expediting of equipment and materials, ensuring adherence to schedule and quality standards.
  • Organizes and participates in KOM and supplier progress meetings, providing continuous updates on supplier progress toward meeting purchase order requirements, particularly focusing on delivery schedules.
  • Maintains expediting status, including milestones and progress updates, in the material management system.
  • Reviews Vendor Package Progress Reports, identifying delays and addressing them with relevant stakeholders, while developing mitigation plans to overcome any setbacks.
  • Ensures the approval of all Design Critical Documents to facilitate PIM/fabrication start.
  • Expedites Sub Supplier Index and ensures that all sub-orders are placed on time to meet project schedules.
  • Monitors the fabrication process, ensuring all Witness/Hold Points are addressed and Notices of Inspection (NOI) are issued accordingly.
  • Collaborates with engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE, and quality teams to ensure suppliers and contractors deliver services on time.
  • Maintains regular communication with package teams and client representatives as required.
  • Coordinates the issuance of Inspection Release Certificates (IRC) upon successful completion of final inspections and expedites the resolution of any open punch list items.
  • Reviews vendor packing lists to ensure contract compliance and issues Shipping Release Notes (SRN) once shipping inspections are completed and all required documents are received.
  • Works closely with logistics to ensure items are collected from the designated Incoterm location and safely transported to the project site on time.
  • Addresses any OS&Ds (Overages, Shortages, and Damages) with the vendor and ensures timely closure.
  • Expedites the approval of all documents, including MDR, to ensure successful package closure.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Demonstrates strong commitment to HSE in project environments.
  • Holds a university degree in engineering, supply chain, quantity surveying, construction management, or equivalent experience.
  • Brings extensive expediting experience in major projects within EPCM/EPC organizations, with expertise in interpreting supplier schedules and analysing critical paths.
  • Skilled at setting priorities in complex, multi-project environments and effectively communicating proposals and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills for liaising with international suppliers and managing across time zones.
  • Has a solid understanding of manufacturing and fabrication in the energy and construction sectors, including compliance with client standards for equipment, materials, packaging, and logistics.
  • Detail-oriented in monitoring documentation status and experienced with project and procurement software systems.
  • Familiarity with Aveva ERM, Requis, and Aconex is highly regarded.
  • Only candidates with the right to work in Australia will be considered. (Australian Citizen, PR holder, or Valid Australia working VISA)
