Role Context:
We are seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to be placed in Meerssen, overseeing small to medium-sized petrochemical projects, primarily in brownfield environments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing all piping-related aspects, ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and safety of the established designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline design for petrochemical plants, with a focus on brownfield projects.
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and material take-offs (MTO).
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise junior piping engineers and foster knowledge transfer.
  • Conduct risk analyses and implement appropriate security measures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the (petro-)chemical industry
  • In-depth knowledge of required software packages (e.g., AutoCAD, E3D).
  • Familiarity with international standards, including EN, ASME, API, and ASTM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; fluency in English is essential, while Dutch is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
  • Construction support experience and knowledge of international rules and regulations are preferred.
