The role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead the development of hydrogen production systems through electrolysis. This role involves process design, risk analysis, and safety planning to support cutting-edge hydrogen solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop process flow diagrams and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Write operational manuals and functional analyses.
- Conduct mass and energy balance calculations.
- Participate in HAZOP studies and ensure the follow-up of actions.
- Draft Safety Requirement Specifications for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Perform ATEX zoning calculations.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in chemical, mechanical, or electromechanical fields.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in chemical, petrochemical, or hydrogen sectors.
- Proficiency in developing P&IDs and functional analyses.
- Familiarity with HAZOP studies and safety planning.
- Fluent in English.
- Expertise in:
- ATEX and PED regulations.
- Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61511).
- API and ASME standards (e.g., API 521, ASME B31.12).
- P&ID drafting tools like AutoCAD.
- Sizing control valves and relief devices.
