The role
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to play a pivotal role in our client’s engineering team. You will provide technical leadership and expertise across multiple projects, with a particular focus on gold processing plants. From feasibility through to commissioning, your ability to deliver high-quality process design and solutions will be instrumental to the success of the consultancy’s projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the design and optimisation of mineral processing plants with a focus on gold projects.
- Deliver high-quality process engineering documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and process design calculations.
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, detailed design, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective and innovative EPCM solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.
What you'll need to succeed
- 10-15+ years of experience in the mining industry or engineering consultancy.
- A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
- Significant experience as a Process Engineer in the mining and resources sector, within an EPCM environment.
- Demonstrated expertise ideally in gold processing plant design and operations.
- Strong technical skills in process design, including flowsheet development and equipment selection.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Previous education and experience required:
- Graduate engineer with 5+ years or more of project engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in chemical or petrochemical plant
- Responsible for assuring that capital, operating and engineering costs are optimized, that all work is completed as scheduled and meets all environmental, health, safety, legal and code requirements.
- Must be capable of handling multiple assignments with project ranging in size from $50K to $6MM.
