About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Project Engineer - Civil to join their dynamic team in Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major iron ore project, with a focus on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.

Key Details:

  • Location: Perth
  • Duration: initial 12 month contract
  • Reporting to: Civil Department Manager

Responsibilities:

Senior Project Engineer - Civil to join a large multidisciplinary project team based in Perth, CBD.

You will work on a variety of study projects for a tier 1 mining client with scopes ranging from earthworks to mine closure.

  • Contribute to the delivery of study projects with project scopes ranging from earthworks to mine closure.
  • Provide design coordination, stakeholder management, and assist in the management of geotechnical site investigations.
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan and when required, take action to resolve problems and minimise risks and delays.
  • Monitor and control cost performance against the plan, and develop and implement project controls and specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
  • Ensure work undertaken complies with the scope and meets quality and operational requirements.
  • Interface with the client and cultivate positive relations to achieve effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in project engineering and project management.
  • Experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer with demonstrated experience working on civil and mining earthworks projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on engineering projects within the mining industry.
  • Previous experience interfacing with clients and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver work within agreed budget, timeframe and customer requirements. 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience from EPCM Environment ideal
