Role Overview
- Develop and implement reliability strategies for fixed equipment engineering, including crushers, gearboxes, and mills.
- Conduct condition monitoring and analysis to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Utilize reliability engineering principles to improve asset management and maintenance practices.
- Provide technical support for drilling operations and troubleshoot any equipment failures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
- Train and mentor junior engineers on reliability engineering best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, applied physics or equivalent.
- 5 years or more experience in reliability or conditioning monitoring roles.
- In-depth knowledge of reliability engineering, asset condition management, crushers, gearboxes, mills, and other fixed plant equipment.
- Mining experience or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Hidden Valley, Morobe, Papua New Guinea.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, applied physics or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in reliability engineering or related field.
