Elevate Your Career as a Senior Safety Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Safety Assurance Engineer to work across a pipeline of rail projects in Australia. Considerable experience in System Safety Assurance in Rail or Defence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance across various projects in rail, energy or defence.
  • Engage with clients to support project scoping, requirements, and solution development.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and help expand our SESA services across multiple industries.
  • Develop associated safety cases and SFAIRP arguments in support of design type, testing and commissioning approvals, representing arguments to stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, operations, asset maintainers.
  • Support and manage CCBs

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years System Safety engineering experience
  • Safety Experience with application experience of CENELEC standards - EN50126, EN50128 and EN50129
  • Robust knowledge of the Systems Engineering V-Lifecycle
  • Ability to produce safety analyses and documentation (such as Goal Structured Notation (GSN), PHA, SHA, IHA, ETA, FTA, QRA, Safety Cases)
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, RAM, Human factors, Cybersecurity is desirable
  • Familiar with software such as DOORS (Classic or NG)
  • Australian working rights
