Due to recent expansion, they are looking for a Service Technician to work on-site in France and support their team with commissioning and servicing mechanical and electrical components of their systems and plants.
Job Summary:
The Commissioning/Service Technician will perform electrical, mechanical and process related commissioning – ensuring operational safety by subjecting the plants to several inspections in order to reduce risks.

Requirements:
- Completed electrotechnical training or similar (e.g. electrician, automotive mechatronics technician, etc)
- Minimum 5 years of hydraulic, electrical and/or mechanical experience
- Willingness to travel 90%-100% within France; Availability to travel for international commissioning
- Fluent French, Good English.
- Valid Class B driver’s license
- Basic knowledge of control and feedback control systems
- Valid permit to work in France
Responsibilities:
- Commissioning and servicing mechanical and electrical components of our systems and plants
- Troubleshooting and carrying out maintenance and service work
- Instruction and training of future operating personnel at the customer's premises
- Acceptance and logging activities
- On-site contact for customer
- Prepare on site topics for claim management (documentation)
- Document service and commissioning works and prepare detailed reports
- Assist with remote assistance
- Check electrical cabling
- Check signals
- Basic PLC (programmable logic controller) handling
- Upload and download software
- Familiar with basic knowledge of TIA Portal
- Check mechanical installations
- Assist during plant ramp up
- On call service
- Assist operator
- Work on weekends and public holidays
