We are currently recruiting an experienced Signalling Maintenance Technician to support the Parramatta Light Rail network.
The Signal Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of rail signalling systems on the network and rolling stock. This role ensures that signalling equipment, including track circuits, relays, switches, signals are operational and meet safety and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise in electrical and signalling systems.
Location- Western Sydney / Parramatta
Duration- Contract (on-going)
Rate- $55hr incl. super (Negotiable)
Penalties- 150% Saturday, 200% Sunday, 250% Public Holidays
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance activities, fault-finding and troubleshooting on signalling assets and electronic components on the rail network e.g. Point Machine Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Conduct testing and commissioning of new or modified signals
- Document inspections, repairs, and modifications for compliance purposes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian rail safety standards, familiar with NSW and ONRSR regulations
- Collaborate with controllers and other rail personnel to minimise disruptions during maintenance or emergency repairs.
- Participate in on-call and emergency response duties, including outside of normal business hours.
- Current Electrical Licence or Trade e.g. Cert III or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in fault finding and maintenance of rail signalling equipment
- Exposure to associate infrastructure such as traction power and communications highly regarded
- RIW Card + Construction White Card
- Drivers Licence
- Must be able to pass Cat 1 Medical
