Airswift has been tasked to find a Static Equipment Engineer to work for one of our major clients in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, under contract.

- Rotation: 8x2 – 10 hours/day
- Locals only (Tanzanian)
Main Accountabilities/Main Tasks
You will:
- Work in the office within the group and other discipline engineers of various cultural backgrounds and reporting to the Lead Field Engineering Manager.
- Regular site-based visit during the Construction, pre-commissioning, and Commissioning to resolve technical queries matters.
- Have experience of technical coordination between other overseas and in-country Engineering Design Offices, Companies, Suppliers, and Vendors to resolve technical matters.
- Have direct experience for the installation, inspection and testing of static equipment: typical vessels, Fired Heaters Pig Launchers Stacks.
- Experience working to Local and International Codes and Standards for Static Mechanical Equipment would be an advantage, this to include but not limited to: Pressure Vessels ASME Sections II, VIII Div I, IX; B31.3 Process Piping & B31.4 Pipeline Transport, API Fired Heaters 560, Storage Tanks 620 & 650, and supporting material standards ASTM ANSI, NACE.
- Experience of understanding of static mechanical equipment design drawings and documents examples including P&ID (Process and Instrument Diagrams), Data sheets, equipment specifications, details assembly drawings, Installation and testing plans and preservation requirements.
- Responsible to track all design changes through the Management of Changes System and site verify all the as-built Master Redlined
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent subject from an accredited institution.
- 5-10 years overall experience preferably in Oil & Gas industry
- Hold Professional Engineering license for discipline in home country and able to register for Engineering Registration Board
