Structural Engineer Level II to join our Perth team.
The role responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the lead structural engineer, you will be completing structural design of foundation and steelwork support processing equipment, vessels, pipe supports as well as underground concrete works, culverts and general non-processing infrastructure.
  • Prepare calculation packages in support of the design.
  • Advise lead engineer when project scope is not clear and that assist with changes to comply with project change management processes.
  • Where opportunities arise, support the lead structural engineer on:
    • Scope management.
    • Cross disciplinary coordination to ensure successful delivery of Customer’s requirement.
  • Proactively resolve any discrepancies between company and client's project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the structural engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

What you’ll have
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Relevant years of experience in structural engineering design in the mining, energy and/or infrastructure sector.
  • Previous experience in either heavy industrial or petrochemical plant projects is not essential but advantageous.
  • Familiar with finite element program will be advantageous but not necessarily.
  • Familiar with software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD would be beneficial.
  • Keen attitude to learn new design tools as well modes project delivery.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Be highly motivated with a focus on delivery and service.
  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to company and its customers.
  • A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in using of structural engineering specific software such as StaadPro or Spacegass.
