We are seeking a cost and schedule associate based in Beaumont, TX. This position will be responsible for project cost estimation tracking and forecasting, schedule development, and cost and schedule performance analysis.
This position will also support development and maintenance of cost and schedule estimating tools and guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial operating environment, preferably in the Oil and Gas, and petrochemical Industry
Responsibilities:

Works with project leads to produce accurate project cost and schedule estimates, including basis of estimate, reflecting level of definition and project maturity.

Ensures accuracy of estimates by working closely with Project Team to understand scope and details of project.

Evaluate and condition contractor(s) estimates for incorporation into final project estimates.

Establish and ensure consistent application of project cost and schedule tracking best practices.

Drive standardization of estimate development methodology and format within project organization o Test and recommend commercial cost estimating tool for organization’s use.

Support annual work planning and budgeting process with cost estimates and expenditure profiles.

Support project leads with spending reports, actuals vs. commitment analysis, purchase order reports, and monthly accruals.

Works collaboratively with other departments (Maintenance, Finance, Accounts Payables, Procurement, etc.) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Liaise with contractors, vendors, or other service providers to obtain accrual information to support monthly reporting.

Ensure that at project conclusion, all cost related items are properly closed out.

Provide support for SAP tasks, including preparing requisitions, invoice management, and actual cost reporting, as well as assisting with contract and purchase order preparation and tracking.
Requirements:

High School Diploma, Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting or Business degree

5-10 years of cost and schedule experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining industries.

Knowledgeable of American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) estimating methodology and estimate classifications, knowledge of project cost estimating and scheduling techniques, and experience with commercial project cost estimating software, is a plus Aspentech Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE).

Experience at Operating / Industrial facility on capital and expense projects.

Experience in all phases of estimating from concept selection through detailed design

Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and Primavera P6 or other scheduling software is required.

Experience with project controls on the owner's side of a project is a plus
