Flow Assurance Engineer
Location: Perth, CBD
Indicative Term of Contract: 12 Months
Primary Objective
Design, implement and maintain subsea fluid transport systems in all client asset future development including tiebacks, ensuring the efficient and reliable flow of fluids in subsea systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that risks associated with flow assurance are identified and appropriate mitigation measures are established and actively managed.
- Support senior engineers in conducting flow assurance studies and simulations to evaluate the thermal and hydraulics behaviors in the subsea system.
- Assist in the design and implementation of static and transient fluid transport system including pipelines, risers, and production systems.
- Support the development of models and simulations for FA analysis.
- Support a variety of projects by analyzing all relevant Flow Assurance related design and operability issues.
- Assist with scope development and technical review of any FA work outsourced to third parties.
- Prepare and present FA studies and conclusions for Peer Reviews and management presentations.
- Ensure cross discipline inputs are incorporated in Flow Assurance analysis including Subsurface and Operations related information.
- Ensure Flow Assurance Philosophies and constraints are incorporated into the facilities design and production.
Qualifications
- Tertiary engineering qualification, preferably chemical or mechanical engineering.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proficiency in flow assurance simulation software such as OLGA, PIPESIM, PVTSim, Multiflash, or equivalent
- Experience with general engineering software such as Prosper, GAP, RESOLVE, HYSYS,
- Knowledge of risk assessments and mitigation strategies for fluid transport system.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of well performance and production modelling
- Knowledge of flow assurance engineering in design and operation phase.
- Knowledge of subsea system, gas production installation and LNG plant
- Good teamwork and open collaborative communication
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to flow assurance.
