Job Description: 
  • The Principal Operations Engineer manages a team of Engineers for the preparation and execution offshore pipeline and umbilical precommissioning/commissioning operations.
  • Develop pre-commissioning and commissioning philosophies for 98/2 offshore/onshore pipeline and
    umbilical works.
  • Selection of the required pre-com/commissioning and marine spreads.
  • Detailed planning for all work locations.
  • Coordinate engineering and planning for the timely execution of the work scope.
  • Detailed reviewing of internal and external deliverables (drawings, reports, procedures, risk assessments,
    scopes of work, subcontracts).
  • Coordinate the definition and ordering of equipment and installation aids.
  • Coordinate specifying and selecting suitable pre-com/commissioning spreads and vessels.
  • Coordinate the preparation of subcontractor scopes of works followed by the award and execution of the subcontract.
  • Coordinate the preparation of pre-com/commissioning procedures.
  • Coordinate constructabilities and operational risk assessments.
  • Coordinate mobilizing pre-com/commissioning equipment and vessels to execute work scopes.
  • Coordinate testing and load-out of pre-com/commissioning equipment and installation aids.
  • Coordinate the execution of offshore pre-com/commissioning work scopes.
  • Coordinate the demobilization of the pre-com/commissioning equipment, marine spread, and the off-hire of subcontract equipment.
  • Coordinate interfaces with Company Contractor’s and technical queries with Company.
  • Support on achieving commercial objectives.
  • Management of bulk diesel delivery (4,600m3).
  • Management of 90:10 MEG delivery (12,600m3).
  • Work at site as required by the project (Kuala Lumpur based with travel to India during project execution
    phases).
  • Support mechanical completion through to well start up activities.
Required Experience:
  • More than years of experience in the oil and gas industry with Major Contractors.
  • Experience managing a team of more than 6 Engineers.
  • For the shallow water role, required general experience of all shallow and deepwater water installation operations. Rigid & flexible pipeline pre-commissioning experience - execution of a minimum of 20 projects.
  • Umbilical pre-commissioning and controls/start-up experience - execution of a minimum of 6 projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge & experience of offshore EPCIC projects including execution, safety management, budget control, schedule control and quality control management.
