Senior Engineer, Static Equipment
Purpose: To independently determine and prepare the Requisitions for packages of mechanical components and / or equipment that are required in a project, assists in evaluating the technical aspects of bids and executing in order to deliver the packages on time and to ensure that the packages meet the technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Understands the specifications and requirements in the area of mechanical static equipment and components (such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers (shell and tube, plate and frame types), separators, process and utility pressure vessels, etc.) of the assigned package.
  • Responsible for Mechanical Design of Static Equipment in compliance with International codes ASME Sec VIII Div-1, Div-2, EN-13445 and equivalent.
  • Independently develops technical specifications/standards and Requisitions for rotating equipment such as Centrifugal Pumps, Positive Displacement pumps, Air and utility compressor, steam/gas turbines etc
  • Independently develops technical specifications /standards and Requisitions for static equipment such as Pressure Vessels, Separators, Process Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, etc
  • Assists in placing and executing the orders. After orders, independently reviews Supplier documents (such as data sheets, drawings) for their completeness, accuracy and compliance. Being the focal point, liaises and coordinates with various stakeholders.
  • Provides technical/engineering support/visit and advice for quality work at supplier shop and Construction/Commissioning work at site
  • Independently resolves technical issues using expert knowledge and technical know­ how that may arise during the execution of package engineering, fabrication and post delivery.
  • To ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behaviour.

Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector, preferable
  • Experience in FPSO, off-shore application
  • Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects
  • Shall be conversant with design standards and International Industry Codes such as ASME, API, NACE, WRC, etc.
