SENIOR WELDING ENGINEER
 
Location: Courbevoie, Paris - France
Contract duration: 12 months (renewable)
Schedule: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)
Start-date: September, 2024
  
On behalf of our customers, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Welding Engineer to be placed in Paris and would be on a 12 months’ contract with the possibility of extension.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Review clients specs and issue technical clarifications and deviations
  • As necessary, write and optimize material and welding requisitions and technical specifications in line with contractual documents and scopes of work
  • Reply to Client Comments and attend to clarification meetings
  • Perform technical support for requisition at each stage of the procurement process and manufacturing phase of linepipe and components
  • Attend the Production Qualification and pre-Production trials at Vendors / S-Contractors workshop for critical activities such as qualification and validation program.
  • On project request perform technical survey visit at Workshop
  • Technical assistance for NCR closure
  • Review Vendor/Sub-contractor documents considering schedule constraints
  • Liaise with Spoolbase team to ensure the production readiness for welding activities .
  • Apply standardized methods for fabrication in accordance with the guidelines established with our welding contractors
  • Apply standard operating practices as developed by the One Rigid group
  • On Project request perform technical audits to assess Subcontractor's capabilities / equipment / manufacturing process
  • Develop, capitalize, consolidate and share know-how/knowledge with VSO/ CORE/One Rigid organization.

Skills / Qualifications 
  • Degree in relevant discipline (welding/ materials/ mechanical)
  • Previous Welding Engineer Level Experience
  • Previous Pipeline Experience
  • Mastery of the specificities of welding systems and technologies on SPS and SURF subsea products installable by reeling.
  • Mastery of the know-how of the codes and standards applicable for the qualification and application in operations of such systems.
  • Mastery of applicable codes: DNV OS F101, API 1104, ASME IX, ...
  • European / International Welding Engineer Qualification
  • Fair knowledge in NDT
