Airswift are currently partnering with a large global EPC company who are currently in need of an experienced and motivated Senior Process Engineer to be based on site in Cologne. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects. Initially offered as a temporary role with the potential to transition to a permanent position, this role requires you to apply your process engineering expertise to ensure successful project delivery in line with client expectations and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Management and technical guidance of a team of process engineers
- Coaching of young process engineers
- Close cooperation with the project managers and project engineers
- Independent handling of projects within the discipline of
- Process engineering and coordination with other departments
- Project planning of process engineering systems and independent development of solution concepts
- Process engineering design and specification of equipment and machines
- Simulation of processes
- Preparation of mass and energy balances
- Processing of process and P&I flow diagrams
- Creating process descriptions and operating manuals
- Presentation of the proposed solutions to the customer
- Participation in design and safety reviews
- Participation in department and project meetings
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's / Master's / Dipl.-Ing. (TH/FH) degree in chemical engineering, process engineering or chemical engineering
- At least 10 years of professional experience in plant engineering in the petrochemical or chemical sector
- Several years of experience in leading teams
- Independent, project and customer-oriented way of working
- Good to business fluent written and spoken German and English skills
- Language skills in German (native speaker or with certificate at competence level at least C1) and English (business fluent or with certificate at competence level at least B2)
- Good knowledge and Professional command of MS Office and MS Project
- Knowledge of process simulation (Aspen, PRO/II, HYSIS) and Heat exchanger Design with HTRI desirable
